Membership Overview

The Montana Food Bank Network's mission is: working to eliminate hunger in Montana through food acquisition and distribution, education and advocacy.
Acquisition of food is based on the need of our agencies.  We support local emergency food programs by supplementing their local effort to raise food to meet their community food needs.

How can you become an agency of the Montana Food Bank Network?

The primary requirements for you to become an agency are:
1. Be tax-exmpt under IRS guidelines 501(c)3
2. Cannot charge recipients for food
3. Must serve the ill, needy or children

Did You Know?

In April 2000, just 381 households turned to Helena Food Share's Food Box program for help. By April 2007, that number had soared to 983 households.
