Thank you for your interest in the Montana Food Bank Network. We are an affiliate of America's Second Harvest, the Nations Food Bank Network.

The Guidelines that must be met and adhered to as a member of the Montana Food Bank Network are as follows:
A) Your agency must be tax-exempt under the IRS guidelines 501(c)3. You must provide a copy of your IRS tax-exempt letter to the Network.
B) Your agency cannot charge recipients for the food it distributes.
C) Your agency must provide the Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) with a monthly activity report.
D) Your agency must submit to MFBN the necessary application materials: 1. Agency Information Sheet; 2. Acknowledgement and Release Form; 3. Agency Contract; 4. Copy of 501(c)3 letter.
E) Your agency must agree to an on-site monitor visit before being accepted in the program. Then be available every two years for a monitoring visit by MFBN to ensure sanitation/safety standards are being met.
F) If your organization is a food pantry, the pantry must be open to the public at least one day a month.
G) Your agency must be functioning as a pantry or feeding program 3 to 6 months before becoming and affiliate of MFBN.
