For every dollar you donate to the Montana Food Bank Network,
we can leverage that dollar 10 times. 
How?

Here is how we calculate our leverage factor.

• For every administrative dollar we spend, we can distribute 10 lbs. of food to our agencies.

• The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Thrifty Food Plan states that an average meal is 1.28 pounds of food.

• 10 lbs. of food divided by 1.28 pounds per meal equals 8 meals.  This means we can distribute the equivalent of 8 meals for every dollar we spend.
