Help with the Issues

The Montana Food Bank Network offers many ways for you to
support our work of feeding those in need.

Everyone can help in the fight against hunger. From the smallest child to the homebound senior.
It doesn't take much to get involved. Parents can begin to teach their young children now,
as they are developing, about proper nutrition and how to maintain a healthy diet.
These young children are the future of our state and of the world.
Now is the time to teach them how to grow, care for and share their food with others.
Preschool and Kindergarten children can start a garden at their school and share the food they grow with a local food bank or the Montana Food Bank Network.

Did You Know?
Many people don't understand that the Montana Food Bank Network can accept everything from a pound of beans to 30,000 pounds of potatoes. The network has a cannery at the Montana State Prison.

“If a rancher has a cow that breaks a leg, they can donate it and get the same tax benefit that a Safeway store would,” Peggy Grimes said.
